I decided to sell my RX8 and get something a little more practical...still keeping in the vein of a 2dr coupe with some spirit....economical on gas with a not-so-shocking sticker price...something i could pay cash for (no more loans) with the proceeds of the sale and have some left over... I went with the Scion tC for several reasons...one being its a toyota, decent size engine, nice looks and you get a lot for the $ and it handles well....my son has had his since 2005...over 100k on it with never an issue...no warranty work etc I picked her up today....the 2010 tC Release Series 6.0 (their version of a special edition)...she is #188 of 1100... I put over 50mi on it today...the gas needle barely moved...  I can certainly get used to this.. here are a few pics i just took...      |

thx guys and gals....i will take some interior pics tomorrow...
she really handles well and has some decent power...
I had them put a TRD CAI, Eibach springs, XM receiver...
I wanted a catback (was looking for a Borla)...they ordered one, but it turned out to be an axle back...theyre gonna switch it out with a Magnaflow catback...will be much less restrictive...should definitely have some whp gains..
now the FJ will take a break....I am anxious to see how much I will save on gas...the FJ used to be my DD..

Look forward to the gas report! I know for me, as much as I miss the FJ, it's really nice to get the whole week of commuting in on 1 $26 tank in the xD. Took me 2 tanks in the FJ @ ~$42-$45 per (add another tank if I go to DC and back). Just glad we're not up over $4/gallon again!

TRD CAI note the small breather situated in the plenum.... this helps to prevent a hydro-lock should you drive in deep water (the CAI airfilter is down near the wheel well) and the breater gets water-logged..it will pull air from inside the engine bay..
