The FJ Bruisers are returning home to Harrisonburg, VA for The FJ Bruisers & Steven Toyota Spring Mudfling V!

To help celebrate our fifth running of our signature event, Steven Toyota has generously offered to host everyone at their dealership and huge back lot/field for all participants.

To ensure everyone has a great time on the trails, we have lined up some great trails in and outside George Washington National Forest.  Some will even be all day excursions!

Like all previous Mudfling’s, the FJ Bruisers are lining up great sponsors and items to raffle off at Mudfling. Last year we had a lot of exciting items to offer and with a huge turnout this year, we can even go for better stuff to people to win!

Hey everyone!

We're less then a couple months away from Mudfling!  So be sure to start getting ready for the best annual event in the mid-Atlantic area!

We now have some updates as we get closer to the event.

Camping
This year we will be camping rustic-style on the field behind Steven Toyota.  Steven's is donating 4-6 porta johns and some sinks.  No showers will be provided.

If you wish to have more amenities, please contact the local KOA in New Market.

Hotel
We have not yet secured a hotel rate but there are many to choose from in and around Harrisonburg.  If you find a great deal, PM Josh (FJ Opus) with it and we'll spread the word!

Event Fee
This year we are reducing the event fee to $20 FREE per rig, this it to help defray the costs of planning and preparation of this event and also help pay for a special, catered dinner on Saturday before the raffle.

We will announce how to pay shortly.

Raffle
As always we plan on having a great raffle!  Tickets are either $2 a piece or $5 for 3.

More updates will be coming in as they are finalized so be sure to register today and get ready for the fun!

I. Geocaches on MudFling Site and Special Raffle

We have placed three private event only geocaches throughout the MudFling V Event Site.

Complete and detailed information will be handed out at Registration on Saturday Morning.

We will also publish a .gpx file here on Thursday night before midnight that would include all 3.

There are three different types of geocache containers involved. All three contain simply a logbook.

BYOP- Bring Your Own Pencil and sign the log.

Find and log one geocache- your name is entered one time in the special Geocache Raffle.
Find and log all three and your name will be entered 3 times.

Prizes better than the stale doughnut we might have found in one of the containers.  ;D
Josh has promised some great prizes for the Raffle.

You need not be present to win as we will hold this drawing right at the end of the event on Sunday evening to maximize everyones hunting time. Winners will be posted online. We'll mail your prizes to you as well.

If you're not going to be there on Sunday- find and log them on Saturday or Friday night. You'll have 24 hour access.

II. Geocaching 101 Sunday Morning from 09:00 to 10:00.

You might have noticed on the MudFling V Schedule that we have this Geocaching 101 thing listed.

If you're not sure what GPS is or isn't, what geocaching is or isn't, not really comfortable using your GPS unit, etc. this is the place for you.

• We'll go over the terms and basics and what to expect or look for.

• We'll answer all of your questions (topic pertainent)

• We'll also be able to help you with your GPS operation. We're familiar with Garmin, DeLorme, Magellan, and TomTom.

There will also be a computer onsite and we can load our .gpx file of these geocaches and help you with that process too.

So bring your GPS unit (GPSr), your questions, and your enthusiasm.

You will walk away with a little knowledge and learn how your GPS combined with your FJ Cruiser might open all kinds of doors (and other things too).

Those staying on the Steven Toyota fields can have small fires to cook but also need to be taken care of when you leave, leave no marks.

Wood is bring your own and grills are allowed.
